2000 LS1 346ci aluminum V8



The engine started out as a 40,000 mile stock LS1 that was removed from a wrecked Pontiac TransAm. Because the motor sat for about 2 years before I bought it, I had a local engine builder do a mild rebuild and replace a few things while he had everything apart. Here are some of the parts that went into the motor:

Comp 918 "blue stripe" valve springs

Federal Mogul bearings
